The “Garden of Delight” stands as a symbol of innovation and sustainability at the Centre for Sustainable Development. It’s an initiative that brings together a prototype of sustainable initiatives under one roof, serving as a beacon of hope for a more sustainable future.
One of the core missions of the “Garden of Delight” is to raise awareness among the public about the pressing need for a sustainable future. It strives to reach the unreached, engaging with communities, and instilling in them a sense of responsibility for ensuring a safe and sustainable world for all.
Education is key to building a sustainable future. The “Garden of Delight” is dedicated to training students from schools and colleges, as well as professionals, in the crucial role they play in creating a sustainable world. It empowers them with knowledge and practical skills to champion environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
The “Garden of Delight” comprises several key elements, each contributing to its mission of sustainability:
Eco House: A living example of sustainable architecture and living practices, the Eco House showcases how sustainable building design can reduce environmental impact.
Organic Garden: Demonstrating the principles of organic farming, this garden serves as a model for sustainable agriculture and healthy food production.
Biochar Unit: Biochar is an environmentally friendly soil conditioner that enhances soil fertility and carbon sequestration. The unit produces biochar, promoting sustainable farming practices.
Biogas Unit: Turning organic waste into biogas is both eco-friendly and a valuable energy source. The biogas unit illustrates how waste can be transformed into renewable energy.
