SCAD recognizes the importance of supporting Palmyra climbers, a community with unique skills and livelihood needs. The organization provides individual housing for Palmyra climbers, ensuring they have a safe and secure place to call home. SCAD also organizes them into Self-Help Groups, fostering a sense of unity and collective empowerment. Through these groups, income generation projects such as goat rearing and the manufacturing of palm sugar vessels are initiated, providing sustainable sources of income for the community. Additionally, SCAD extends marketing assistance to help them sell their products, enabling them to reach a wider customer base and improve their economic prospects. By addressing both housing and income generation, SCAD strives to improve the lives and livelihoods of Palmyra climbers, empowering them to lead more fulfilling and prosperous lives.
