At Social Change and Development (SCAD), we understand the profound significance of providing comprehensive care for women and children, and we are wholeheartedly committed to their well-being. Our organization offers a holistic approach to pre and postnatal care services, ensuring that expectant mothers receive the essential support and medical attention they require during pregnancy and after childbirth.
A central focus of our work is to ensure the nutritional security of both mothers and children. We actively address nutritional deficiencies and promote healthy development, laying the foundation for a brighter and healthier future.
Our unique nutritional intervention program is designed to reduce the prevalence of malnutrition among rural children. This program places special emphasis on the health of pregnant mothers and the care of children aged 0 to 1000 days. We believe that these early days and months are pivotal for a child’s growth and development, and we are dedicated to ensuring that every child receives the best possible start in life.
Our comprehensive approach includes:
Awareness Training: We empower self-help members of project villages through awareness training.
Nutrition Awareness and Demonstration: We educate communities about proper nutrition through awareness campaigns and practical demonstrations.
Periodical Weighing: We monitor the growth of babies and mothers through regular weighing sessions.
Nutrimix Distribution: We provide essential nutritional supplements like Nutrimix to support healthy growth.
Establishing Kitchen Gardens: We encourage the establishment of kitchen gardens to ensure a steady supply of fresh and nutritious food.
Medical Camps: We organize medical camps, with a focus on gynecological care, to address women’s health needs.
Ensuring Safe Deliveries: We closely follow up with expectant mothers to ensure safe deliveries and promote maternal well-being.
We invite you to join us in our mission to nurture the health and well-being of women and children. By supporting SCAD, you’re contributing to the care and support that expectant mothers and young children need to thrive.
If you’re interested in partnering with us, volunteering, or contributing to our initiatives, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your support can help us continue our vital work in safeguarding the health and future of women and children.
At SCAD, we believe that every woman and child deserves access to comprehensive care and support, and together, we can make a profound difference in their lives, creating a healthier and brighter future for all.
