Our farm science centre, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, has been at the forefront of economic development for farm workers since 1996. The centre’s purpose is to assess the different local and international technologies on offer, and promote any that have sustainable advantages.
KVK prefers to concentrate on organic farming practices to sustain crop productivity and maintain healthy eco-systems. It is essential that these technologies are affordable for the farming communities. KVK has a soil, plant and water testing laboratory, bio-agents and bio-fertiliser production laboratory, bio-fungicides and bio-fertilisers laboratories. A nursery and farming area is available for trials and experiments.
