On the 15th of August, India's Independence Day, 47 differently abled children from the SCAD Anbu Illam school performed a spectacular dance. Independence Day, one of the three national holidays in India is observed in all the states and union territories commemorating India's independence from British rule on 15 August 1947. Every child has the right to participate, grow, live and be protected from others. Being given a chance is essential for these rights to be fulfilled in a child. In India there are very few opportunities and prospects for differently abled children. SCAD gives hope, dignity and self respect to differently abled children in Tamil Nadu.
