SCAD has been offering community-based rehabilitation to people with disabilities in ultra-poor communities of South India for thirty years. Rehabilitation of different kinds under a single roof in a multidisciplinary approach is very rare. The specialists are in far off lands and patients...

It always has been SCAD’s wish to develop students in an exceptional way. The staff of Anbu Illam (school for differently-abled children) took an initiative to give special coaching to the students in such a way that they could try for the Tamil Nadu Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) State Board examinations for the academic year 2011-2012. As a result, nine disabled children were given special care and training by the SCAD staff to appear for the Board examination.
