Welcome to Social Change and Development (SCAD) , where we’re committed to fostering positive change in rural communities. We believe in the power of self-sufficiency and healthy living, and one of our impactful initiatives is promoting kitchen gardens.
In rural areas, access to nutritious food can be limited, and we aim to change this by encouraging the concept of kitchen gardens. Nirman Trust is dedicated to supporting and empowering over 3500 Self Help Groups (SHGs) in cultivating organic kitchen gardens.
Our mission is to support and cheer on these SHGs as they grow organic produce, ensuring a consistent supply of nutritious food for themselves and their communities. By promoting kitchen gardens, we’re fostering self-sufficiency and improving the overall health of these communities.
We don’t stop at supporting SHGs. We’ve also extended our generous support to local schools in our working areas, helping them establish “School Kitchen Gardens.” Every year, we work with these schools to create 5000 kitchen gardens.
Our kitchen garden initiative is creating a growing impact on these communities. By cultivating their own nutritious food, individuals are not only improving their diets but also gaining valuable skills in sustainable agriculture.
SCAD invites you to join us in our mission to promote kitchen gardens and sustainable nutrition. By supporting our efforts, you’re contributing to healthier, more self-sufficient communities.
If you’re interested in partnering with us, volunteering, or contributing to our cause, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your support can help us continue our vital work in these communities and expand our reach even further.
At SCAD, we believe in the transformative power of self-sufficiency and healthy living. Join us in empowering communities through kitchen gardens and creating a brighter, more nutritious future for all.
