The weavers’ community holds a rich tradition of craftsmanship and artistry, but often faces challenges in marketing their products and accessing financial resources. SCAD acknowledges the importance of supporting the weavers and works towards their empowerment. The organization provides them with much-needed marketing assistance, enabling them to showcase and sell their handcrafted products to a wider audience. Additionally, SCAD facilitates the formation of self-help groups among the weavers, creating a supportive network that offers loans to initiate income generation projects. These projects not only provide economic stability but also contribute to the preservation and promotion of the weaving heritage. Through these efforts, SCAD strives to uplift the weavers’ community, ensuring their continued growth, and helping them sustain their traditional skills and livelihoods for future generations.
